Similarly, South Africans with mortgages can attest to the fact that interest rates have also climbed. Inflation and interest rates are no strangers to South Africans. In fact, certain locals might even reminisce with a nostalgic twinkle in their eyes about the good old days of 1c Chappies, which now cost 50c.
